A new chapter, from 2027

Welcome aboard La Belle Vie.

We move aboard and start exploring the Caribbean full time. La Belle Vie stops being the boat we sail on holiday and becomes home.

This site exists for one reason: the people we love are scattered all over the map, and we would rather not do this without you. Come and find us somewhere along the way.

Why we chose this life

The beautiful life.

La Belle Vie means “the beautiful life”. The name came from long walks together during the lockdowns, when we found ourselves talking less about where we wanted to live and more about how.

It was never about the house or the things we own. It is about the experiences we get to have, and the people we get to share them with. Neither of us wanted to reach the end of all this with a tidy house and a short list of stories.

This has always been a shared dream — planned together, learned together, and talking each other into the next good idea. Regina turns an ordinary evening into a celebration. Troy is happiest when a plan finally comes together and everyone is aboard.

The best days aboard are the ones with someone else in the cockpit.

Our floating home

Meet La Belle Vie.

She is not simply our sailboat. She is our floating home.

A Fountaine Pajot Saona 47, built to be comfortable a long way from anywhere — which matters less for the passages than for what happens once we stop.

  • Mornings begin with coffee in the cockpit.
  • Sunsets turn into long conversations.
  • Friends become crew.
  • Family becomes closer.

What matters is not where she can take us. It is who she lets us bring along.

Explore the journey

Where would you join us?

Most of us cannot take just any week of the year off — so start with the season that fits your life, then go and look at the islands.

Your kind of adventure

Imagine yourself here.

Adventure looks different for everyone.

  • Snorkelling a reef, or diving it.
  • Hiking up to a waterfall.
  • Dancing at a beach bar.
  • Wandering a market to see what is worth cooking.
  • Doing absolutely nothing at all.
  • Watching the sun go down from the cockpit.

We hope we’ll have the chance to share part of the journey with you.
